While I was waiting for the birth of my first child, I decided I wanted to find something new and creative to do. I chose cake decorating and it was so much fun that I have been playing with cakes and icings ever since. When my youngest child went to school, I went back too. I am a teacher by trade and I loved it. 

Recently, though, I began to wonder if I might find a way to 'marry' my teaching experience and my love of cake decorating and so The Cake Workshop came to be - a place where I get to teach and play! I just love helping people acquire new skills and starting them on their creative cake dressing adventure.
